Ron Kovner is of counsel to the firm of Levy Firestone Muse LLP. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation, including business and commercial litigation and major personal injury, and white collar criminal defense.

Ron has achieved successful results for hundreds of clients, including business owners, financial industry executives, government officials, and those seriously injured from defective products and common carrier accidents, during his more than 40 years of litigation experience before judges, juries, arbitrators and mediators. For example:  Ron’s representation of the executive of a major national bank before the DOJ and SEC resulted in decisions not to prosecute or file civil complaints; his defense of a founder of a major hedge fund resulted in the client’s release without liability from a highly publicized securities fraud class action; and his work on an internal investigation on behalf of a major mall developer was instrumental in preventing fraud charges. He was on the team of lawyers representing whistleblower Dinesh Thakur in his landmark False Claims Act case, U.S. ex rel. Thakur v. Ranbaxy, resulting in the largest drug safety settlement against a generic drug company, in U.S. history. Recently, he co-represented Dr. Dennis Burke, in a whistleblower lawsuit against Massachusetts General Hospital, resulting in a $13 million settlement, and was on the LFM team that negotiated an eight figure settlement on behalf of a whistleblower against a major defense contractor.
